Can I see a live demo of a kit's website before I buy?

Absolutely. Every brand kit in our store includes a link to a live, fully functional demo of its static website scaffold. We want you to see exactly what you're getting.

Can I reserve a kit or place one on hold?

To ensure fairness, we cannot reserve kits. They are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. If you see a brand that you love, we strongly recommend securing it before someone else does.

What software will I need to use these files?

A standard ZIP utility, a modern browser, and a vector editor for logo files. Adobe Illustrator is recommended, but free alternatives like Inkscape or Figma work as well.

Can I get color or logo edits after purchase?

Yes! Minor color palette adjustments and logo refinements are included free of charge after purchase. Just reach out and let us know what you need. You also receive full source files (AI/SVG) so you can make any modifications yourself or hire your own designer for more extensive changes.

What's the real difference between the static site and a Shopify/WordPress site?

The static site is a visually complete but non-dynamic storefront. Shopify/WordPress adds a back office for products, inventory, payments, and content. The static site is the blueprint for a developer to extend.

Do you provide supplier or product recommendations?

We can offer informational suggestions on potential suppliers as a courtesy, but these are not formal endorsements. You are responsible for your own due diligence.

What happens to my brand's files if The First Fold ever closes down?

Once you download your kit, the files and the intellectual property are yours forever. We recommend making multiple backups in cloud and physical storage.

Category 3: Ownership & Legal (Your Rights)

Do I truly own the brand after I buy it?

Yes. Your purchase includes a full Intellectual Property Assignment Agreement. This is a complete transfer of ownership—not a license.

Can I trademark the brand name and logo?

You have the right to pursue trademark protection, but we do not guarantee trademarkability. Consult a qualified trademark attorney for searches and registration.

Will The First Fold use my brand in its portfolio?

Yes. We retain the right to display the work in our professional portfolios for non-commercial self-promotion. This does not affect your exclusive commercial ownership.

What is your refund policy?

All sales are final due to the exclusive nature of our products. Once a kit is purchased it is removed from sale, and refunds would undermine the exclusivity promise.

Category 4: The Process & Next Steps

What is the purchase and delivery process like?

Complete your purchase, receive an order confirmation, and then a separate email with a secure download link within 24 business hours (manual processing for quality assurance).

My download link isn't working. What should I do?

Check spam/junk first. If it's not there or the link is broken, email us at [Your Support Email Address] with your order details and we'll resolve it quickly.

I need a full e-commerce store. What's the process for that?

Phase 1: Purchase the kit and receive core assets. Phase 2: We'll build a Shopify/WordPress site under a separate SOW and timeline.

During custom development, how many revision rounds are included?

Revision rounds for custom work are defined in the separate Statement of Work. For small integrations we typically include 1–2 rounds of minor revisions; larger build-outs have a detailed revision schedule agreed in the SOW.

Can I hire my own developer for the e-commerce build?

Absolutely. You own the files and IP; the scaffold is clean professional code suitable for any skilled developer.

Do you offer custom brand design from scratch?

Our focus is curated pre-made kits, but we occasionally accept custom projects—contact us to inquire about availability and pricing.

What level of support is included with my purchase?

We provide support for accessing/downloading purchased files. We do not provide general software or development support as part of the purchase.

What payment methods do you accept?
